Testimonials

Angie was the only person to help us when my Husbands Alzheimer’s started to decline. Angie was there for us. I will always be grateful to her. She gave me more help & advice than anyone.

Yet again I must express my gratitude and utmost thanks for the lovely, wonderful staff you have working for you.

I dropped mum back at the club today after getting her hair done and she was warmly welcomed by the two men who drive the minibuses. They were keen to chat to her, one of them offering up some Spanish conversation and it was so lovely to see.

Then when we walked in to the main hall, I think it was a lovely lady called Margery that made a real fuss of my mum and her hair do. This goes a long way in my book and it means a lot to my mum too.

Honestly these days are hard enough with mums progressive dementia but your club and staff are making her life and ours a little bit better.

Such a lovely club you have there.

Keep up the good work.

Many thanks for all you do.

I just wanted to get in touch and send massive thanks to you and your team.

Now that mum has settled into her routine with you at HOPWA house, I can’t tell you what a difference it makes to her life and all of us that care for her.

She loves coming to see you all and asks every morning if she’s going that day. In fact it can be a struggle to get her to leave in the afternoon, as she is so engaged and enjoying herself so much. Knowing that she is happy and enjoying herself in a safe environment, looked after by such a lovely group of people, is such a comfort to both myself and my sister.

Mum is so much happier than she was 6 months ago, it has really improved her general mood and has taken such a stress off of us as carers. I don’t know what we would do without HOPWA house now, it has genuinely shone a bright light into what was a dark and difficult experience living/coping with Alzheimer’s Disease.
