Community Hub Events Coordinator

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Community Hub Events Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in delivering engaging, inclusive activities across our community hubs.

About the Role

As a Community Hub Events Coordinator, you will support the planning, organisation, and delivery of a varied programme of events and activities. Your work will help create welcoming spaces that bring people together, encourage participation, and reflect the needs of local communities.

You will work across multiple locations in Havering, including Hornchurch, Harold Hill, Rainham, and Romford.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and deliver events, workshops, and community activities
  • Support event logistics including planning, scheduling, and setup
  • Build strong relationships with residents, partners, and organisations
  • Promote activities through social media and community networks
  • Gather feedback and improve future events
  • Ensure safe, inclusive, and well-managed delivery of all activities

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Organised, proactive, and creative
  • A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about community engagement and inclusion
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Experience in events, community work, or a similar role is essential.

What We Offer

  • Salary: £23,166 per annum (pro rata)
  • Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Holiday: 5 weeks annual leave
  • Pension: 6% contribution
  • Additional: Paid travel expenses

Additional Information

This role may require a DBS check and involves travel between community hub locations.
