About Our HüBs!

A Community HüB is a welcoming neighbourhood space where people can come together, access support and take part in activities that strengthen community life. Designed to be inclusive, friendly and accessible, our HüBs bring residents, local organisations and services together in one place, making it easier for people to connect, participate and find the help they need.

Through our Community HüBs we are delivering new services as part of the Living Well Community Wellness and Empowerment Service, providing practical support that helps people improve their health, wellbeing and independence. From affordable food and community cafés to advice, activities and volunteering opportunities, the HüBs offer a gateway to a wide range of services designed to support people at every stage of life.

More than just buildings, our HüBs are vibrant community spaces that help people build relationships, access opportunities and shape the future of their neighbourhoods. By bringing services, support and community activity together, they play an important role in strengthening local communities and creating places where people can live healthier, more connected and more fulfilling lives.

Inside Our HüBs

We currently operate three welcoming Community HüBs located in Hornchurch (HOPWA House), Harold Hill (Paines Brook) and Rainham (Broadway Library). Each HüB is designed to be a vibrant neighbourhood space where residents can come together, access support and take part in activities that promote health, wellbeing and community connection.

Our HüBs are friendly places where people can meet new friends, enjoy nutritious meals, take part in social activities and become part of a supportive community. From wellbeing sessions and creative activities to advice, volunteering and community events, the HüBs offer a wide range of opportunities for people to stay active, connected and engaged.

Our Hornchurch (HOPWA House) HüB provides a particularly rich community environment, featuring sensory rooms, reminiscence areas, a welcoming café and a programme of special events and activities designed to support wellbeing, stimulate memories and create enjoyable shared experiences. Together, our HüBs form an important part of our mission to strengthen communities and help people live healthier, more connected lives.
