We see the people we support, their families, volunteers, community organisations and local services as individual strands of thread. When these strands are woven together through partnership, support and shared purpose, they create something stronger and more resilient. That woven network of people, relationships and support is what we think of as a Tapestry of community care.
Tapestry is a community-focused charity and not-for-profit social enterprise working to strengthen communities and improve the health, wellbeing and opportunities of the people who live within them. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, connected and fulfilling life, regardless of age, circumstance or ability. Through our growing network of Community HÜBs, we bring people, services and organisations together to create welcoming neighbourhood spaces that support connection, participation and wellbeing.
Our work focuses on providing preventative support that helps people remain independent, confident and connected to their communities. Through support delivered both in people’s homes and within our Community HÜBs, we provide practical help, advice, wellbeing activities and opportunities for volunteering and community participation. By keeping people at the heart of everything we do, we aim to create personalised support that enables individuals and communities to live healthier, more connected and more resilient lives.
